    Windshield chips ? ?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I put alot of highway miles on the car and I noticed that when looking through the windshield theres very fine chips probably from sand or small rocks at high speeds. I was wondering if theres anything that can be done to fix or fill these without having to replace the whole windshield?

    thanks in advance

    Re: Windshield chips ? ?

Yes, our einszett Glas Polish can help reduce those very small chips that look like speckles in the sun.

Just keep in mind that they're not going to come out if you apply the polish by hand. It takes a lot more heat. You'll need at least a PC and a cutting pad on a speed 5.5+ to improve the appearance. Glass is of course much more dense than plastic and paint (which is essentially similar to plastic) so it takes a lot of heat. Really, for the most effective improvement, use a rotary/circular polisher with a wool cutting pad or foam cutting pad at 1200-1500 RPMs. That will also remove minor scratches in the glass making it look good as new.

BTW, don't use Glas Polish on clear plastic including convertible windows or head/tail lights.
