    Symphony II+ problem

I'm new to the forum but I've regarding stuff on this site for a bit.

Recently, I had a problem with the Symphony II+ deck in my '07 a4. The CDs in the player got stuck and I received a Error message requiring service. Since the car is still new (< 5k miles), the problem was covered by warranty. They had to re-order a new deck and replace my old one (I can't get back my CDs for another month lol)

Ok so here's my question: I was wondering if anybody had a brand of CD-Rs they used for their own deck? The Audi people say that you can't use burned CDs on the Symphony II+ deck, and if you do, it has to be a certain brand. It was so convenient that no one knew what this brand was, so I'm hoping you guys could help. Another friend said to burn my mp3 CDs at a lower speed (ie. 16x) but I don't understand how that would help.

I don't like the Ipod feature in the dash because I don't have an Ipod =)

I would love to listen to something other than the radio. Any help would be great!

    08 Avant for me.
I'm using Maxell CD-R; got my spindle from Future Shop a little while ago. Have had them in the car for 5+ months now and not had any problems and trust none will arise in the future.

Program is DeepBurner Free that can be downloaded. Just burnt another CD at 24x. no problems - playing fine.

    Re: Symphony II+ problem

I use TDK exclusively and have never had a problem in any of my cars including my '07 A4 with Symphony II+. That line they fed you is total crap, unless your CD is warped or defective (which can happen with cheap CD-Rs).

I always burn at the maximum speed (48x currently) of my computer and have never had an issue.
