NEED HELP I can't figure out the Humming noise

Ive posted about this problem before but its getting worse now and i was able to jack my car up today and take a look. From what ive been told my humming noise should be a wheel bearing however when i was looking underneath my car i noticed the axles were wet by the boots. also i had the stealership do the 60k service not even 3k miles ago which included replacing the diff fluids. so my question is do any of you think thats my problem and not the wheel bearings? let me know what you guys think.

Re: NEED HELP I can't figure out the Humming noise

Where's the humming coming from? rear or front? the easiest way usually to tell if its the wheel bearing is to drive down the road the turn quickly to left or right and see if the humming goes away. if the Humming goes away while turning, then it is a wheel bearing. If it still is humming, then it is something else.

I know right now my tires are pretty loud because they are worn, drives me crazy, but I'll probably keep them on the car for the summer and get new ones for fall - winter

Most def. a wheel bearing. The CV boots are more than likely torn- common. Not too hard to replace and I bought a new boot a while back for $26.

Thanks guys. The tires have like 4k miles on them so i know its not that. And i saw the cv boots and they are not torn. makes me wonder about what the stealership did. Ill keep researching and im probably gonna take it in to one of the performance shops around my area to fix it. i have a warranty. Thanks again

jack your car up and spin the wheel and grab the spring. if it feel like its vibrating pretty bad its a wheel bearing. you will feel it if its bad. if you can jack all your wheels up put it on jack stands and drive the car with the wheels off the ground that way you can tell if its the diff or the wheel bearings. wheel bearing a very common on these cars. but try driving it off the ground and grab the springs

and axles make more of a clicking noise. and they take forever to go bad even after the boot rips. needs to be NO grease and lots of sad. and you can take the axle out of these cars with out taking any suspension apart. nice trick i learned to not have to deal with that top control arm bolt shit

also since they replaced your diff fluids just for the hell of it check the level. my boss a long time ago brought a volvo in, dumped the oil, changed the filter, put it down and drove it out. came back and he put a motor in it. lol shit happens
