i would like to know if anyone has tried to pull out the ABS fuse to see if it will enable the cars to brake boost.

You are kidding, correct?

On our DBW systems you cannot just apply the brakes and throttle at the same time, the throttle plate will close on you.

This can be overwritten with programming but it is pretty much senseless to do.

not when you are running a big turbo such as your self and I. it would enable us to build full boost before actually accelerating. good for highway pulls.

I have never had an issue building boost in a highway pull...you have bene hanging out with to many import owners.

Once you learn to drive your car you know exactly where the sweet spot is and how to control it.

Ask Marc with the S4, all it takes is knowing your car and being able to row the gears like you are a slave on a Viking ship.

While somebody is trying to brake boost their car, I will already be at 25psi and through two gears. You can only beat cars that are either less powerful than you, or those who you can outdrive.

FWIW is your car even running to potential yet? This question seems a bit premature.

the turbo wont boost unless there is load put on the engine so you apply the brakes and hold the gas to enable the turbo to build boost so when you go wide open you have full power instantly. For example an automatic car doing a launch would do this to have the boost up so when they let off the brakes and floor the gas to take off they dont have to wait for boost to build. For launching purposes some manaul cars also have programming called anti-lag which allows the engine to go up to a lower rev limiter and build full boost so when the clutch is let out they have full power.

Running on the highway with a manual if you have it in the right power band (correct rpm) the time is gonna be negligable to when you hit full boost and go so it is kinda worthless unless maybe if you have a huge turbo (way bigger than a GTRS or GT30 etc.
