    FWD Coilovers on a Quattro

So, I came across some coils on the forums but they were fwd, Oettinger Coils. So, I've searched the forums and one post came up. What I have interpreted is that the only difference between FWD Coils and AWD Coils for our Audi's is the spring rates.

Is there a way I can change the coil over springs to make it work? I think Oetty Coils are modified KW's?

    Is there more differences?

No one seems to do this but it might be worth it in this situation because there cheap.

    TY

Re: FWD Coilovers on a Quattro

I know that the spring rates are different between FWD and Quattro since the Quattro cars have extra weight in the rear. I bought my KW coils in the classifieds and found out later that they were for FWD. I bought new springs for $200 from KW -- problem solved.

By the way, if you somehow end up needing the same springs that are used in the Variant 2 setup I have one extra Quattro rear spring.

Alright thanks for the hasty response!

Because of that, I am picking up the oetty coils tomorrow. I think the Oetty's are KW's but I dont know which version.

If its a match, i'll pm you.
