i had a six puck clutch masters clutch on my jetta, whoa that sucked. Never slipped but man it sucked for driving on the street.

It isn't going to change the pedal at all, other then he wont be able to slip the clutch. Now if he had a clutch setup like mine his left leg really wouldn't be pleased.

Just have to get used to it, I have driven my 6 puck 4800 lbs clutch setup in LA traffic for a few hrs. My leg was killing me by the time I got home.

I am suprised more people dont run the South Bend FE Stage 5 which is a full face disk.

this is still an on going sage.

but i will say my southbend disc for done. the flywheel side was all kinds of messed up.

40k miles and some abuse was too much for it.

I thought with the no slip of a puck clutch it is not going to wear as much as a regular clutch. If their is no slip the clutch face is not going to wear out. you cant wear it out if the two points connected do not move.

I have the sprung version of this clutch with a 9lb flywheel and driving it really isn't that bad. It's fine in traffic, and his should be even easier with the dual mass. I have about 20k miles on it, and it's still holding fine. Pedal feel and engagement is like stock (doesn't take much effort, engages right at the top) with the Clutchnet 2x pressure plate.

Those Russians do know how to make a good clutch

my southbend disc has 35-40k miles on it.

it is destroyed.

the metal backside ate a groove into the flywheel the same way a worn out (read: metal) brake pad eats into a rotor. i was amazed.

i will post pics of it later on.

does it hold really well? yep. but it did not wear well. and i probably would not run another one.

if you have a southbend, prepare to replace your flywheel.

It's fine in traffic, and his should be even easier with the dual mass.

on/off is on/off no matter what flywheel you have.
