Anybody Done Bottom End Work On 2.0?

I am getting the APR Stage 3 KO4 system, and then possibly nitrous, and wonder has anyone done bottom end upgrades (forged rods? Forged crank? Lightened Mahle pistons, etc? Blueprinting?)

How are you planing to do that with APR. You need to retard timing for that which APR does not do so.

There are internals for the BT kits, but if you are going through the trouble of doing internals you might as well do the BT.

As it is, I am about to blow everything ( If I don't take the required measures ) , every time my car runs is closely monitored and its still scary.

Are you sure you know what you are getting yourself in too ???

    Ps. A K04 is not a BT

Also, the intake manifold wont take more than what my car is putting out, go big turbo and save yourself the hassle.

    HID,
I have a 1.8tQ B6 with APR Stage 3+, APR FMIC, APR turbo back exhaust and DV, putting out 271 heat-soaked whp to all four wheels. The intake and throttle body are at Wilson Manifolds for porting/polishing/flowing, and they will put their Pro Nitrous wet system on it. I am looking for 350+ whp, for a project car (which, from now on won't be a daily driver). I have an APR ECU, and wonder what other mods will have to be done to keep it together? I see you have REVO, as do some of my buddies, and caught your quote about timing. Didn't look like you did bottom end work, although you have mad HP.
I am in Tamarac, so maybe PM me and let's talk?!?
Do you attend the Euro Stages at Aventura on the 1st Sundays?
    How fast can you afford?

The thing with your car is that you have a 1.8T which is whole different story, some parts in there are more resilient than the ones on the 2.0T. If you have APR you can use VTune to mess around with your timing ( This is only for the 1.8 T)

Im not sure how much HP & TQ can the pistons and rods on a 1.8T take, Give Adam Wolf (305)-593-8132 a call and he can enlighten you on the subject.
