Help : Im gettin this pause when i drive

okay so for the last two weeks or so, about twice a week my car starts acting up on me. Ill be driving normally, usually during light acceleration (off a light or something) and my car just stops going, the engine doesnt shut down and i dont get any lights on the dash, just for about half a second it feels like the engine isnt getting any fuel or something. I feel like im getting no response from the pedal, but then sure enough a second later the car is running fine again. I havent narrowed it down to an RPM range yet because it doesnt happen often enough but i want to get this fixed before it turns into a bigger problem

on a side note, i did the coilpacks a few weeks ago, i know its probably irrelevant but incase it is relevant i figured i would throw that in there.
Also im nearing my 80k service point so who the f*** knows whats on its way out

I am curious about this post as well, my 3.0 was doing this exact same thing. I was wonding if it was linked to turning the traction control off, but not sure. I did have the fuel filter changed on my 70K service and it hasn't done it since.

Fuel pump, happened to me a few times! but i never changed mine, and now thank God it doesn't do it anymore!

Have you changed your TB yet? the TB could be off by a tooth..

possibly spark plugs...clean and re-gap, or replace if you haven't in some time. but your symptoms would be more of a studder then a complete loss of power... sounds like fuel side...fp, possible clogged fuel filter... more details on the service history in the past 20k...

Not to hijack, but in response to the post above mine, if I get a little stuttering in the low rpm range, it's probably my spark plugs? Cold car = clean, crisp accel., hot car = some stuttering (sometimes) in low rpm.

i had the fuel pump and filter changed under recall and it still does it.

very good chance... I've seen it many-a-times, and would be the first place I'd look.
