    Hey everyone-

sorry to bring this back from the oldschool I.E 05 - 06, but I haven't been able to find anyone who has sucessfully solved this bastard of a problem.

    Here's the run down:

car starts and stalls intermitently, probably about 3 times a week. When this happens, the immobilizer light comes on for a sec and then shuts off. Sometimes the trip computer flashes to celcius before it die's. On an even rarer occasion the 4 way's come on by themselves as the car is running. most of the time the car starts back up on the second try, but it has taken up to 6 tries to get it to start. I am almost certain that it is the key reader thing. The only other thing I have not tried is a separate key. i only have 1 remote, so i don't have another to try. The part number that audi gave is 107-905-855 CF. It needs to be ordered from germany and only cost 77 bucks. However, the labor is 300 dollars. Ouch, my ass is all the sudden throbbing.

    Questions:

Has anyone had this issues fixed before?
Does anyone know if it is possible to fix this themselves?
or should I just suck it up and pay theses asshoels to do it for me?
Does anyone know a good place to get an extra remote so i could rule that out?

Once again thank you all for your infintite knowledge, this forum is invaluable.

Re: Ignition Lock Cylinder W/ Reader coil

Does anyone have experience with this problem. I am thinking it may be to complicated to tackle at home, not sure if there are any technical electronics or reprogramming issues that are involved. Any insight will be greatly apprerciated.
