So I went to go test drive a car yesterday 00 norgaro 6 speed.. The owner sayed the car needs a clutch kit bc it was making a rattling noise while driving. So I drove the car and I started hearing the noise while around 3.5k 4k and when I let off the gas I also heard it. It sounded like metal against metal. While I heard the noise I depressed the clutch to the floor and the noise went away. Any ideas what it might be? Does it sound like a throwout bearing?

    Re: rattling noise

When you depressed the clutch did you hold the revs at the same amount, i ask because as soon as you normally depress the clutch the revs will drop and if it's something else causing the problem, i.e rev related then it will go away.

no when the noise came I depressed the clutch, the noise was gone and the revs dropped normally like they should..clutch wasnt slipping and shifted as it should and went into gear fine but it did feel a little more notchy then it should I think (btw no short shifter)
