    B5 S4 REAR brakes......

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Are they a direct swap over? Or will I need a washer or 2 to space it properly? Also is there a B5 S4 rear brake DIY?

I tried to search, but S4 is too short for the 3 letter minimum.

    Thanks in advance!

They do not fit. The rotors don't fit over our hubs and spindles. I've tried.

Your best bet is to buy the STASiS rear brake upgrade which comes with new rotors, flexible lines and caliper relocation brackets. It uses your existing calipers.

Are the rotors hub bore too small or something?

    What about if I were to use a B6 S4 rear rotor and B5 S4 caliper/carrier setup?

I believe that is the case. Our rear spindles are huge relative to the B5 S4. I recall the interference being right at the ID of the rotor brake surface. I couldn't get the rotor flange to sit flush on the hub flange because of that interference.

You can try using B6 S4 rotors but you'll probably have to figure out a way to get the caliper in alignment.

That is what I was thinking. I need to replace my rears badly and I hoping to upgrade and not stay stock.

Also, what are the options for bigger rear setups? Other than the $$$ Status setup?

As far as I know, B6 S4 (which is more money than the STASiS)

There may be others but I don't know of them and they are probably even more expensive.
