my a4 vs. basically stock b5 s4

Anyway my friend has a s4 with apr chip and piggy pipes. He changed the setting back to stock mode and ran me. Well, he said the car was only boosting 6psi at the most so something could have been wrong, but I pulled pretty hard, by 100mph it was at least 6 car lengths. I have custom magnaflow exhaust, strong dahlback chip, N75 race valve, and I hold around 18-19psi. I have a feeling though even if the s4 was running 100% I still would have been at LEAST tied with him. He couldn't have been in valet mode because he made it above 90mph, right?

Seeing as how you guys only went to 100 mph, I assume he didn't hit 5th or 6th gear? He should hit ~ 7-8 psi in 5th and 6th gear on stock programming. A stock S4 is slightly faster or just about equal to a chipped A4 with supporting mods, IIRC. Depends on the drivers too, assuming they're both manual trans.

k03chipped a4 is no match for a stock s4, k04 a4 is in equal maybe... maybe faster terms with an s4.
Chipped s4 boosting properly will rape k04 a4

Stock S4s run around 14.0 in the 1/4. Top to bottom, a chipped A4 is no match. Aggressive K04 A4s can run with it in the 1/4, but after that first 100MPH, the S4 is pulling away.

It takes a pc/16 or j31 ko4 A4 to keep up with a S4. I ran 13.9 in my stock S4, and thats right about where the ko4 A4s are. In all fairness, the pc16/j31 A4s are prolly a little faster down low due to all that torque.

hmm interesting.. no one knows that a dahlback chip puts down though. maybe with the supporting mods and weight difference it is a stock s4 killer.. hahah. oh, who knows. Guess the only thing I can do it run another stock s4.

Depends on what chipped A4 your talking about.

a stock S4 does a 6.8 CAPS time. check the CAPS database for what mods get you into the 6.8 range. (see sig)

basicallly you need at least a K04.

i think beating a stock s4 with a chipped k03 is possible, its not a walk, but it could be close...driver dependant, supporting mods, etc.
