My ride is sitting at Auto Assets getting wheels, coilovers and h-sport sways installed along with a few other things. My factory sport suspension is up for grabs, anyone interested in upgrading their stock suspension drop me a line. I will post pics when back from Myrtle Beach.

    1. At italia forged 2 pc stainless steel a.k.a propellers
    2. H-Sport sways (front and Rear)
    3. Vogtland coilovers

what about the 12 pc control kit. Did yours go bad or upgrade, what's the difference. Why did you get rid of the sways? Reinstall the originals or tried something different, what's your experience?

I did control arms just last month and tie rod ends. 76k miles.

    Re: Audini dropped!

I'm at the Sandy Beach Resorts, across the street from Family Kindgom. I'm not sure about the model of the Vogtlands just that they are coilovers. I almost sold the wheels because they are staggered ( could not pass up on deal) after the install they look incredible! will post pics on Sunday or Monday when they have the car ready.

12pc kit was for piece of mind when i was upgrading the rest of the suspension ~ wish i had a real way to explain what the difference felt like with this, but since i did all that at once it was just a great all around handler

as for the sways, i jumped the gun too soon on a parting out my car later last year ~ thought i was trading up but it all fell through. every day i drive i wish i had them!

    Re: Audini dropped!

Got back too late to pick up car. Will test drive this afternoon and verify ride height with shop and we're good to go. If you guys are interested in the roof extension spoiler, I picked one up at erubini's for $210. They are liquidating their inventory I'm pretty sure if there is an interest in a group buy they would be willing to do a price drop. I haven't received mine as yet since it is a custom order. It is not the M-style but the types you see for the Passats and 4 series Audi. If there is some interest I will give them a call but I need numbers to open the conversation. They normally sell these for around $275.

    Re: Audini dropped!

After driving the car home I was truly amazed at the way it handles. The car handles like its on rails! The rear sways are set on soft and I am very content with this setting. On hard turns this baby really shines! The car does not lean into the turns! no body roll whatsoever. Now for the down side...I feel every imperfection on the road. Its not harsh but with low profile tires its presence is felt.
The Vogtlands are adjustable, if need be I can change the setting for the season. The tires are Bridgestone G-force kdw2's, quiet, good grip on wet and dry roads. Believe me I tried to squeal these tires on the turns and nada not even a slight fishtail. You know where the car is going.....I'm lovin every minute of it! I wish there were other setups I could compare it to that's out there...bilsteins, eibachs and koni, I don't know anyone around with these. Maybe at the next GTG in the near future I get the chance.

    Audi is a 2002 A6L 4.2 W W W W W I I I I I D D D D E E E!

There was some skepticism on this car when I picked it up. It was owned by a audi/porsche mechanic and the dealer I got it from advertised it as a A6L. I told my friend about this and said there is no A6L just A8L. In person the car looks a bit longer and just a few inches shorter than his A8L. I don't know if this is true for 2002 but did some reasearch and there were a few made but for the Chinese market! Maybe I have one that slipped through the cracks.....hmm.

I have a few more things to do on the car...ecu/tcu upgrades, MMI components (bluetooth, satellite ect) maybe CompuCar, since Im on the road most of the time. Still deciding whether or not I want carbon fiber trim or just go piano black (carbon fiber is a bit common now). After these bits are complete I will take Audini in for a paint job. There are way too may scratches on the bumpers and pebble chips on the hood. Not to mention the fender I f'd up. I might switch from brilliant black to Phantom black. Will see what the future holds but this will be next year on the paint job.

I'm fully aware of the engine displacement, like I said there are 2 versions of the a8 body style (a8 and a8L a.k.a long body) and the A6 also has a long body sytle a.k.a A6L as well as a wide body. I never believed until I did the research.
