1.8t APR 1+ 5spd vs Lexus IS250 AWD no mods

Who wins?
Short distance (0-60)

It looks like the Audi should win because the IS is only making 205hp and like 185ft/lbs of tq (according to Lexus).
What do you guys think?

The stage 1+ A4 wins, but not by alot.

Considering both cars weigh about the same and have similar awd drive train losses....you'd expect a 1+ A4 with 235hp/275tq to destroy an IS250 with 204hp/185tq. My guess is the 1+ 'claimed firgures' are over rated. Either that or the K03's powerband it too short lived to really make the car that quick.

i'm not too sure... i may have to give it to the is250... my mom has one and it feels faster then my audi...

My wife has one and if it is in sport mode I'll have to give it to the IS. The awd system is electronic and can be disabled.

My friend has an IS250 awd. It is definitely slower than a 1+ A4 by a noticeable amount.

The IS250 may feel stronger around town as its a larger N/A motor. But floor it at it really doens't take off, just makes more noise. In contrast the A4 feels anemic off boost, but once it hits it actually covers some ground...even a K03 on 1+.

My friend has a is250 AWD and the 1+ beats it every time. The torque just isn't there.

I did have a chance to drive the new is-F though... Needless to say, that thing is FAST.

I have BOTH. My lexus is an 08 with a manual, which is faster than both auto and awd. My 1+ Revo will blow it away. No contest.

a stock a4 makes a constant 170tq so even if the powerband of 1+ doesn't seem to last that long it still shouldnt drop too far behind the is if heat soak is that big of a problem. But with 275 even for part of the powerband (overrated you say? Give it 225 then) you should easily be keeping up.

I'd put my money on the a4.

i drove one! the car begs on all fours!!!! the auto tranny, which Lexus tried to make "Sporty" is junk! if u pass on the freeway it'll downshift to 3rd and rev till 6k and then ur done passing and go easy on the gas for a good 20sec it'll keep revving at 5-6k and then harshly upshift to 5th! and the reason it feels faster is this: it weighs like half what our cars weigh(exaggeration)! the hood feels flimsy! the gauges are cool and stuff! but tooo overpriced!
