    Re: 249N bypass question.

T the vacuum line from the front of the intake manifold. When you T it, one line goes to the DV and one to the N249. It tricks the N249 into thinking its still working, but the DV actually is running directly off the manifold. I noticed a little bit better response from my DV when I did it to mine.

    Re: 249N bypass question.

My DV is already running from the front of the manifold. Doesnt the N249 already have a line going to it? I dont know which one it is lol.

    Re: 249N bypass question.

Well that is the line that is supposed to go to it. Perhaps someone T'd it off something else. As far as I know you can't remove these without a CEL. Only Bypass. Lots of info on this over on VWvortex in the 1.8t section. MkIV guys do it mucho.

    Re: 249N bypass question.

its way easy to "remove." just plug your dv straight into the manifold then unplug the n249 and rig in a resistor. it tricks the ecu. i have been running mine like this for about a year with no issues.
