APR stage 1+ vs. REVO stage2

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
First off let me say sorry if this has already been posted, but I cant seem to find it. For the REVO stage 2 you need a 4 bar FPR, and for the APR, you need injectors. My Question is are they the same power output, or is one better than the other. I know the numbers for the Apr stage 1 and 1+, but what are the numbers for the REVO stage 2. Any help would be great, or just point me in the right direction. Thanks Allen

When you find where to put an FPR on our B6's you come back here and let us all know!

APR Stage 1 and REVO Stage 1 is software only, APR 1+ and REVO Stage 2 requires 380/386cc Injectors .... NO FPR IN OUR CARS!!

Re: APR stage 1+ vs. REVO stage2

The numbers for Revo Stage 2 - I THINK(dont quote me) are 225hp/275ft-lbs. I'm getting the APR 1+ anyway because there's a dealer near me, and just by chance if those numbers are right then i'll pick up that advantage as well. Also, APR wont force me to get a full exhaust even though I already have an aftermarket DV, like Revo MAY do to you.
Anywho, The APR 1+ numbers say 235hp/275ft-lbs on 93 octane. Some people say that's a little exaggerated, but also some say its not. So I dont really think you'll get a straight answer unless you take it to the dyno, and even then people will argue with you about how the dyno wasnt set up right or whatever. I dont think you'll be unhappy with either one though if you picked one over the other. If it was, that would explain the supposed extra 10hp over the Revo Stage 2. APR 1+ is just easier to get because I heard somewhere they actually wont do Revo Stage 2 on your car unless you have an exhaust/dv or both, or something like that.

Run the hell away from those places as fast as you can! Or you can stick it out and make them feel like complete idiots by asking them to point the FPR out to you in the engine bay

not true. i got stage 2 with just injectors. then as i got exhaust and FMIC i went back, and they raised the boost/timing. they just play it safe when you dont have all the upgrades.

Re: APR stage 1+ vs. REVO stage2

I just spent a 1/2 hour on the phone w/ anthony at APR. I am currrently at max w/ the APR 1+ and am getting ready to do the K04. My K04, even with CAT delete, custom exhaust, FMIC and APR DV I dont need to upgrade to 4, 4.5 or 5bar whatever. This came straight from APR to my ear. Completely against wjat both tuners have advised me to do. I have filed complaints against both of these APR tuners for other reasons. My advice is get your info from the source and DIY and F%^%$ the tuners. And if the tuners read this you know where to find me. Period the end that are only out to rape your wallet.

Re: APR stage 1+ vs. REVO stage2

Can someone help me find the injectors I need for the APR stage 1+? I have looked all over the forums for a place to buy the TT225 injectors and the one place I found comparable injectors . I don't know if they will fit without spacers on my 2005 B6.

Can someone give me a link for the correct injectors?

    Thanks

It's a tough decision. I want to find a place that lets u go again for free if you don't pass and doesn't use an exhaust sniffer. My hope is no cel=pass. On the other hand I'm installing a k04 next week so i'll have to remove the tp anyway. I'm just gonna ask around for a place that isn't strict.

This is what my REVO dealer said, they suggest me to have HFC installed with injector and software upgrade based on a play-safe boost and raise it when I have FMIC in the future. Should I go for what they said?
