    Question Power Steering Q

So I hit a water-filled pothole soo deep it actually caused my front end to scrape. I noticed some fluid leakage after a few days, and went under and patched some damage to the oil pan with a little JB weld.

Ever since then I've also noticed a funky humming sound whenever I steer the car (usually only after leaving the lot or a parking space). I'm guessing it has something to do with the power steering fluid being low, or the pump going bad. The humming changes pitch with the engine RPMs as well.

So.... anyone know if there are any power steering hoses that might have also been damaged when I hit that pothole? If not, could the trauma from the hit have knocked something loose? Maybe damaged the pump?

First things first though, where's the power steering fluid reservoir? Probably a good place to start my search for the problem...

front right in the engine bay, right next to the abs module. one line runs to the front of the car, infront of the rad for the cooler and the other line runs back towards the rack.

Make sure to top off your power steering fluid with OEM type. The system gets whiney even if little is missing from the reservoir.

    Look for green stains.
