GTRS with supporting mods should be able to do it and maybe beat it.

Nice, I can't believe BMW stepped up and put a good engine in a smaller car. I wonder how much it weighs.

I got to make sure I can spank it even after they start modding it.

One with a manual weighs about 3400lbs. That being said the motor in the 135 and 335 need some work seeing as how people are destroying their turbos based on their placement in the engine bay from what I hear. They are pretty quick cars and with the basic bolt ons they are quit ridiculous. Good luck in building an A4 to match.

Ha I wasnt sya you were trying to say it I was just quoting family guy. Yeah I just find it hard to believe BMW didnt design it better in the first place. One bigger is better than two small but what about two slightly bigger

A single is stull superior just for ease of design. Two downpipes, intakes, wastegates, all just makes for more clutter and tighter fit!

Ok one turbo puts out less heat, lower EGT's, lower under hood temps, lower IAT's = more power! That better?

    Re: Sick of being Slow!!

Damn you and your science. What would cause one to put out less heat though? Is it the increased hot side surface area? Wouldnt that be a good thing since the cold sides will be cooler as less heat will transfer from the hot side? Sorry I am a mech engineer Im just trying to understand.

    Re: Sick of being Slow!!

The reason BMW went two smaller turboes from the get-go was to reduce turbo lag.

The 335i reachesfull torque at 1300 RPM!!! While, that turbo pictured above would take a bit longer to spool...something the majority of the 335i owners would not want

Yeah I knew that much. Same with why most cars come with smaller snails. No lag, a little less throw you in your seat jolt, which is more acceptable to "normal" drivers.

If you bought an A4 for power it was a mistake to begin with.

These things def need some heavy mods and some good ol' TLC and become beastly in their own right.

But nowhere near some other cars though.
