Are Stasis performance chips any good?

i want to get a performance chip for my 2006 a4 2.0t quattro and i was wondering if the stasis chip is any good? i heard its the only chip that doesnt void the warranty so thats why i want to get that. is it worth getting it just so the warranty isnt voided? or should i just get a different chip?

Would have similar characteristics if not almost exactly the same as GIAC software, the only difference is I think it may cost more due to the warranty coverage.

I tested a Stasis demo A4 at my local Audi dealership that was chipped with this Stasis program, and I barely noticed any difference from stock. There was a little bit more power, but I was definitely not impressed, especially for the $1500 they wanted for it. It is a very conservatice tune, which is why it doesn't void the warranty.

I think they actually have two different programs as the two level of cars of slight HP differences (Touring Vs Challenge)

STaSIS makes great products, but in regards to the software, I think they are priced more competitively if you get it with the complete STaSIS packaged cars.

But to some folks the $900 premium over the standard GIAC price is worth the piece of mind on warranty issues.

Re: Are Stasis performance chips any good?

I agree, I think they make great products. Im not sure what the chip that is warrantied is called (Touring Vs Challenge), but all I know is that it is very conservative. When I drove it, I barely felt some extra power.

The guy who runs this Stasis/aftermarket parts program at my local dealership said it is not aggressive. He said they made it that way so it is warrantied.

    APR (streetwerke in Palo Alto)
    REVO (EIP in San Jose)
    GIAC (STaSIS in Sonoma)

I think Griffen in Berkeley offers chip tuning and 034 motorsports, but I am not sure which Software they support.

They are all close to the same price, all offer similar performance gains and all these places are local to San Jose, do you research to determine the minute differences between the Brands and make your decision then.

    Good Luck...

I went with GIAC because STaSIS does all my tuning work and most of my maintenance.

Tons of threads about this already, search is your friend. Id advice you learn to use your friend :)
the 3 biggest/most common chip companies are APR, REVO, and GIAC. Make things easier, and stick with those because they offer everything you'll need out of a chip.

26hps and 16lbs is nothing. And I haven't heard mch of the PES chip for our cars

I just got the stasis tune on my a4. It does make a difference but it's not that big. The stasis tune on my s4 made a huge difference. If my car wasn't under warranty I would have went with the ape tune makes a lot more power(my friends apr tune a4 smoked my car).

Stasis warranty doesnt cover the car as soon as CPO hits at 50k. I was going to dump the obscene amount of money on stasis for that reason too, then after some digging, just went apr because I got a fully loaded ecu at half the price and have the same amount of fun, plus I was at 50k when I did it.
