Deal or No Deal - $1375 for 80K + windsheild

Houston auto shop quoted me $1375 to replace my cracked windsheild and for the 80K tune up (includes timing belt , spark plugs etc. that needs to be done @ 80K).

I know you guys are on top of this stuff.

Incase you guys didn't know what a "windsheild" is, it's a "windshield". Ha

I can't remember what I was quoted for a new windshield, before I got it replaced by insurance.. I think it was around 450-500 ? Not 100% sure. Consider that price say, 400. If the TB parts and such is all included with that price, those run about 250? then install cheapest you will find is prob 300. Most is like 1200. It's close. Do a little more research about TB install places or people near you.

My windshield was free (and I had an OEM windshield installed @ the dealer)

Covered under my insurance and I didn't have to pay any deductibles.

Correct, if you have auto glass coverage. Not sure if liability only covers glass. Check with your insurance.

im getting a new windshield on friday, but unfortunately my comprehensive coverage has a $550 deductible, so i have to pay for it out of pocket......lame!

fortunately I "know a guy who knows a guy" and am getting it replaced for cost, which is $170...and thats for factory oem glass....
