Winter to Summer ... the process has begun !

The transformation to the car begins today. Aside from the summer shoes, I'm prepping it for the Calabogie track (May 15th). This is my first time going to the track and I'm stoked !

Upgraded rear springs (Approx 10% stiffer than GT Vogts) and Volk wheel hardware

yeeepp the process has begun, had my first full wash and wax this weekend (pics below)

Yup, OZ wheels for winter (17") and Volks were in the car ... picking the car up in the AM

Yes, it does. Seriously, even the cheap-o eBay ones (I hear) make for a glorious difference. I've used the Neuspeed one for B5 and B6, and loved them both... I've currently got a B&M in my 2004 3.0, and while I did not like it as much as the Neuspeed at first... I now prefer it. It's very precise and notchy. More so than the Neuspeed.

Regardless, pick one up. A bit of a PITA to install... but worth it. I'm selling my 2004 A4, and am actually taking the shifter out to swap into my 2002.

Absolutely. After having one in my B5, I actually purchased one for my B6 before I took delivery of the car. It, along with a snub mount, was installed within 48 hrs of driving the car off the lot.

lol. It's far more difficult to drive than my V8 and frankly, its actually so dam quick that I already need some minor bodywork.

I'm considering those for my summer tires and want some feedback, b/c in my mind tires are probably the most important part of my car (other than brakes i guess)

Frankly, I purchased them from Allen@simplytire based on his strong recommendation, the price being considerably less than others on the short list AND the low weight. I haven't yet driven on them but after I get my alignment done on Monday, I look forward to having some fun and seeing how they compare to several others I've tried.
