    Mixing wheels

So I’m having no luck in finding two replacement wheels V708 from VMR with 42mm offset. If I were to get two new V708’s with 38mm offset, and 4mm spacers to compensate for the difference, how much would the width of the rim screw with the Quattro system? Original V708’s are 8” and new ones are 8.5”, and tire width would stay the same. I would place the new wheels in the back, and old ones with the 4mm spacers in front.
I really don’t want to purchase full set of rims, as I have 2 perfect wheels and 4 new tires. Please advise.

    Thanks

    Re: Mixing wheels

width and offset have no play in the quattro setup..

you can definatley run a 8.5 in the rear and an 8 up front without any issues.

The problem is the overall height of the wheel including the tire, but i think you should be fine, the goal is to be within 5% of overall hieght including tire with both the front and the rear.

You should be well within that with the tires you have

The narrower wheel will affect the tires' overall diameter sightly, but I'm not sure if it would be enought to hurt AWD. What did the VMR guys say ?
