Two little squares!(Front Bumper)

Maybe you all can help me here!

On the front bumper of the 2001 TT what are the two little squares which are spring loaded in the bumper what are they? and what purpose do they serve? I had an awful time getting my headlight out over the weekend and I noticed these. Any help would be appriciated.

they are the "aliens" AKA the headlight washers. the little doors will open up and a thing that looks like an alien head pops out and squirts fluid onto your lights....

dammit, I would have said this:

You need two people to check it out, preferably a friend inside the car, and you on the outside near the squares, prolly about a foot or so away, maybe on the side.

Have your friend hold the window washer fluid lever, and see what happens....

not every time, but I think every other, and don't do it too much, the windshield washer level gets crushed everytime you do

Well I just tried again and...these little arms came out and squirted bug juice all over my front end and then the whole thing started to pour out from the undercarage of the bug juice container...damn loose hose maybe or did I just break something...

they are stock headlamps! Why? what does hid heads have to do with anything?

they only work when your headlights are on, and only if you hold it long enough

halogen lights don't have the washers, hid's do, just wanted to clarify

They're not worthless when you're driving through the mountains on I-70 in the slushy rain/snow and your headlights are so dirty they barely put out any usable light. Unless your pump is burnt out like mine
