New Member With a couple Questions

Hey everyone, I've been a longtime member of VW Vortex and Fourtitude, I just recently Sold my 06 GTI and got into a beautiful 05 black S4 6MT. I love this car! I joined this forum becuase the S4 threads on the tex dont do much activity and am hoping for more feedback on the zine! I look forward to being a member of this forum! Ill post some pics of my car when I get some nice ones to put up.

On to my questions, I would appreciate any help you may offer as I have been looking for answers for a couple weeks on the other forums with no response.

1. Does anyone have a list of the stock bulb sizes for all of the bulbs in our cars? Everything from headlights, to the interior bulbs? I need a complete list, as I would especially like to change all of my maplights, domelights, footwell lights, and license plate bulbs to white LEDS.

I have located a place to get the parts but I need to know the sizes, I tried sylvanias bulb guide but im getting conflicting answers and want to be sure I know the right part numbers before I buy anything.

2. Has anyone here replaced the foglights with HIDs? I would like to try it, as I think the stock HIDs IMO don't put out as much light as I would like them to, atleast not compared to my 06 GTI or many other cars I see on the road ie; BMWs, acuras, etc. Is the stock size H7 or H11?

Welcome and congrats. I don't really know bulb sizes in these cars as it's not something that I have modded. I just wanted to chime in to let you know that you are being heard on this site.

If your car is a B6, fog is H11. No clue on interior bulbs though.

Okay i got the h11. I still need to know the part numbers for-

Dome lights
Maplights
License plate lights
and the door bottom and courtesy footwell lights.

Why dont you just take them out? The interior bulbs are not very difficult to take out, you'll need to take them out anyway to replacement them so it'll be good practice.

hehe, i did take them out, i went to pep boys to compare them to what they had in the store but couldnt find part numbers on the bulbs. I know this must make me sound like a moron, but I am having a tough time finding the correct bulbs. I did just find a writeup here with the correct bulb sizes! And a place to get the LED replacements I want for them. Ill post pics as long as it all works out. Thanks
