thank god...it was rumored it would just be a tippy, but i never believed audi would stick another tip into the revolutionary s5...and they aren't.

I emailed Audi corporate about the estimated release date of the S-tronic in the US and this was their reply: Given that no S tronic transmission has been announced for the S5, and that the Tiptronic is of recent release and in great demand, such an estimate can only be a guess. Your dealer will be among the first to know if any changes are projected in the order guide, and is also aware of current and projected wait times.

it is tiptronic if you buy it RIGHT NOW. S-Tronic new dsg gearbox has been anounced, however not implemented, i believe (yet!).

Why would Audi screw over S5 early adopters who wanted a tip? Some of these people ordered a loooooong time ago and I don't believe any have been delivered yet. I don't see Audi putting DSG into the S5 until 2010.
