    Re: Help with passing emissions!

No - you cannot pass emissions with a test pipe. Period.

Spend $800 on a Milltek high flow cat or put your stock cat back on.

You cannot pass emissions with a test pipe..........

    Re: Help with passing emissions!

You have to take it off. Either replace with a high-flow cat as suggested, or put the stock cat back on...

But there is no way you can pass without a catalytic converter unless you know the dude who inspects your car and they don't care haha

Gut out some random catalytic converter and shove the spongy internals and metal wires into your muffler. That might work

The only sure answer is to put the Federally mandated emission system back on your car.

    Re: Help with passing emissions!

This is the part I love most about the "test pipe" mod. it gets you a smelly, loud car that get get liscensed. Sweet!!! hahahaha. If you can't pass emissions you don't get a new liscense, and you shouldn't!!! Save a tree and put a Cat back on you car!

    Re: Help with passing emissions!

Move to Wisconsin, we have no emissions testing and people drive around here with straight pipes and "stacks" on their trucks all the time.

The only mod police here don't like is window tint and REALLY loud/annoying import exhausts. Everything else they think is cool haha

Same in MN. I love not having to deal with emissions. I have my cat on but it saves a trip to the DMV to get tested.
