    Stasis SS with conservative drop

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
After trying different settings I settled with 25.75" at the rear and 25.5" at the front. This is down from OEM sport 26.5 R/27F

I don't know if it's the better settings for track but I love the looks. I believe that an A4 with OEM wheels just doesn't look right if it's too slammed - but that of course is only my opinion -

I wanted to post this for folks that want to greatly improve handling but don't want to look like they have the trunk full of stones when they load the rear seats with family or friends. Koni shocks and springs combo is superb. The ride is almost like OEM and the only element that makes my rear a little rough is the RS4 sway bar (but it turns so good!!)

EDIT: by the way, can you see the 3m clear bra?

looks great! thanks for the measurements, i'm looking to do the same.

i think i can tell the clearbra is on in the 5th pic (by the way the light reflects off the front bumper) but i could be wrong. did you do the install yourself?

The front is supposed to remain a little higher than the rear, I believe.

Re: Stasis SS with conservative drop

Looks great. Is that the preadjusted height Stasis sent to you? I think i would lower it another 1/4in in the front/rear. Also like stated above, to keep the proper cornering weight/balance, the front needs to be a lil higher. The spacers also set off the OEM wheels a lot.

Looks good, I like the slight rake it has. but won't it affect perfomance?

Re: Stasis SS with conservative drop

    Thanks!

I know the front has to be higher; it makes sense. Actually the gap is slightly bigger in the front, but I tuned it more for an even look rather than performance. Anyway I went to some twisties close to home and it turns very good! Much better than OEM sport, and with the rs4 sway bar it is very neutral - no noticeable understeering.

The preadjusted height is not something I could be certain of because all the perches were loose... I did the try and error method. I also figured out how to adjust rear height without taking off the springs! You have to cut the wrench an inch; drill a hole at the extreme and attach a rope to the end. Depending on the side and if you are lowering or rising you can either adjust by hand or set the wrench in the notch and pull the rope from the inside and under. (a helper is useful but you can do it alone too)

One full turn of the rear perch is a 1/4". Height varies with camber adjustment.

The bra was installed at the dealer.

forget everyone who thinks it should be slammed to the ground. i LOVE how small the gap is around the tire but most of all i love how it's even all the way around. it looks so right. nice job.
ps, my s/s are going on tomorrow, i think i just stole your measurements haha

You should just switch your Eibach pro-kit for the H&R sport springs, they will give you a little lower stance with a slight rake in the front. That is if you don't want to spend the cash on coilovers.

Thanks for the measurements. I'm getting FK coilovers in a week or so, but I'm putting on 19s. It's nice to see some numbers to go by as I don't want mine slammed either. I'm looking for stock RS4 look similar to your clearance.

That's good info. I couldn't find it in the Stasis webpage. I guess I fit in the aggressive category

So the front is lower than the rear on all setups... I can't blame 'em; it looks better.

I think it looks perfect. Can't see the clear bra at all. I've always been a firm believer in function over cosmetics, it's non-negotiable. That's why you bought a quattro, right? You've done the perfect setup w/Stasis CO's and spacers, great reference material for the rest of us.
