I forget if the compass and mirror is part of the headlight circuit. Gut feel says no but I have to look at the wiring harness to confirm or deny (on my laptop at home).
I love my compass (and boost gauge
). When I get a rental car without a compass I get frustrated for I loose sense of direction. Esp in a place like PR where the road signs are not labeled.
Yes it does work, just not the way it is supposed to.
Here's the run down:
With the switch in the off positon and the car running, the headlights are on
With the switch in the "auto" position and the car running, the headlights are always on, not automatic.
With the switch in the manual "on" (third) position and the car running, ONLY the ambers are on, NOT the headlights.
I forgot the last two.
And I also just realized my compass and auto dimming doesn't work when I had some lifted truck with blue bright lights shining in my face.
I'll scan and post ALL the codes when I get my front end back on and post them up. It's just a lot of "implausible signal" and "intermittent"
