    Sirius install '03 B6

I am trying to get stuff together to install Sirius in my 03 B6 but can't find a good list or DIY anywhere online. I have a newer Sympony II that has the SAT function, working on getting the tuner module. Still trying to figure out what kind of antenna will work, can I just use a small aftermarket one and put it inside the rear window? I am trying to use OE parts here.

Is there anything else specific that I would need to get? I know the 04+ are plug and play, so I assume there is going to be more to this than just plugging stuff in and what not. Any help would be great!

I've seen a DIY for this. I think it's listed under a Symphony II to II+ upgrade - the person who did this also put in an OE sat radio. Can't remember if it was here or Audiworld. Search and you shall find.

ok i found it - use this if you're not prewired in the trunk

if your car came with the symphony with the SAT button, you should be prewired in the trunk. there's some instructions on a trunk installation here:

    That helps a ton thanks!

I just need to figure out what I do and do not need since I am only changing from a Sympony II without the SAT button to one that has it, not a Symphony II+. Still probably most of the same cabling and components I would think.

Just did this on my 03, with SII (not SII+). Check my thread in the telematics forum from this weekend. It describes the job fairly well, but if you have q's, just PM me.

If your original symphony did not have the SAT button you won't be prewired in the trunk. The question then becomes where do you want to mount your Sirius unit - either in the trunk and run the cables or behind the glove box.

when I installed by D3 I installed the Sirius box behind the glove box - it was just a lot easier.
