Did you even read what I wrote, before you quoted it?

If you had, it would lead you to see I quoted exactly what was in his profile, so I know what he drives. That doesn't mean he is looking for this is for his car.

I have seen more than my share of these mistakes made on other web boards I have been on, therefore I was trying to help.

haha, either way Im kinda dumb... I didnt even say I wanted aftermarket or stockers. Yeah, they are for my car... I dont want anything crazy low, just a mild "spring" drop.

Case, I did think about coilovers. Actually, Matt wont let it go - he says I shouldnt waste my time with springs, blah blah. I figure with the offset and spacers Im running to fit the LMs over the BBK, I may not be able to go much lower if at all anyways - so having coilovers isnt going to do much since I cant adjust them to their full potential. Springs will do for now anyway, maybe one day I will go coilovers...

with that said, and what you have written, you may want to think more about coils..

Sometimes with Spring/ dampener combos even though they sit a bit higher, they are softer and have more of a chance at rubbing. With an adjustable coilover, you can stiffen it up in order to not have it rub. A slightly stretched tyre can make a world of difference too.

I guess my other thought on the whole thing is just that if I can go lower with the springs and not get (too much) rubbing... well, then maybe eventually go coils and play with how low I can go. Im just tired of sitting stock sport height and cant afford coils right now...

BUT, your $.02 is noted for sure. Darrick (Capt. Obvious) has been telling me to skip springs and go straight to coils - I just cant afford it right now. He thinks I can dump this thing without rubbing... who knows.

If you aint rubbin, you aint dubbin Josh . You should see my jetta its RIDICULOUS haha.

I'm like 95% sure you can go pretty low without rubbing. Probably lower than you think . Some stretched tires like Salty said will help, but thats a lot more money. Your fenders came like Pre-rolled...remember when we were looking at that? So thats good.

Are you running those spacers that I gave you? If so can you go any smaller to make some lowering room?

yup, running the spacers... they BARELY clear the calipers, like a spacer 1mm smaller wouldnt clear. I dont mind a little rubbing, but I dont want anything major. Yeah, buying new tires is probably out for now... too much money (especially since these new tires only have like 1500 miles on them)! :( If I could run a 225 instead of a 235, I know I could drop a couple inches easy
