All I can say is that its a great product. Install only took 45 minutes, everything was a piece of cake. There is no extra vibration at all. Shifting is so much better and there is no more drivetrain clunk when down shifting or shifting hard.

did you let the car idle before tightening down the brackets which hold the snub mount in place? i just installed an APR snubber last night, and I'm getting some noticable vibrations at idle.

Yes i let the car idle for a minute, and gave it a little gas to center the braket, then tightened it.

Re: Just Installed Stern Snub Mount

I know this is an old thread but can't help but comment on it. When I first bought my Avant last fall it had pretty bad idle vibration. I was concerned about it. In Feb I had a Stern snub installed and the car had the same annoying vibration so I didn't attribute anything to it. I thought something else was wrong with the car.

This week after months of frustration I took the car back the dealer I bought it from and they found my vibration. It was the snub. They replaced it with a stock one and now the car idles as smooth as glass.

I guess this shoots any idea of installing one on my S4, because I will never do anything that will make such a delightfully smooth car run roughly.

Am I the only person who's had a bad experience with a snub mount and excessive idle vibration?
