So i finally got my vvme HID's Yesterday and couldnt wait to install them.
great!! so i took off the drivers side headlight first and connect it up like the instructions said. so i wanted to test it to double check to see what it looked like, i connect the headlight back to the car, turned on the engine then the lamp switch.[O_O] the minute i did that the brake worn indicator came on. i was like ooooooohh SH%T !! i never had this indicator come up.I turn off the engine an just finished both HID headlight to see if its jus because i only put one on, but it still has that indicator. i even drove the car around and it was off for a little while but when i turn the headlight on, then get this! when i press the gas it comes back on right away. [ (O) ] = brake indicator

WHY am i getting this Brake Worn indicator [ (O) ] on the dash? somebody please help me!1

Stupid question, but are your front brakes worn?

I'm having a similar problem. I got a set of Prolumen HID's from a bimmerforums.com group buy and every now and then when I turn them on, the parking brake light stays on and beeps at me, and the ABS and ESP lights turn on leaving me with what looks like a x-mas tree in the dash there's so many warning lights, and I have no abs or traction until I turn the car off to reset them.

were these plug and play kits or did you have to do any wiring yourself?

i had my brake changed less than 2000 miles ago beside i down shift alot more than brake. dont u find it strange that the minute i put this mod in i get the brake worn signal !? this is a plug an play HID, But what i would like to know is there a sensor for the brakes right where the driver side headlight is that i might have disturbed or something

The sensor for the brakes are right on the pad. Many people have run VVME lights with no problems, but there is no question the harness is cheap. The fix for the cheap harness is to cut it off and wire it yourself. Idk how that would work with the headlight becaus ei only have the VVME for my H11 fogs. I imagine it would not be much different. Unplug your HID kit first and see if the problem persists first.

I did a writeup on fog lights a while ago: http://tomek.g.googlepages.com/DYIHIDFogsHowTo.pdf
no need for bumper removal, at most belly pan, if you want to put it in a very stable hidden place (I don't have that luxury).
Anyway, remove the kit, go back to stock and see if the problem repeats itself, if yes, check the pads and all connections, I think you may also get VAG and see where is the problem.
