Noob w/some questions...

Thinking of trading an '04 325i w/34k miles for a manual b6 A4 1.8t quattro w/the ultra sport pkg w/under 50k miles and still in warranty What should I expect to pay for such a car and is there a thread that has pics of members and their modded rides?

ps. I signed up here a while ago when I was thinking of getting a b5 but then decided to get the bmw and now want to try a b6...

I've seen prices for ultra sports range from 17k to 23k recently. I expect the asking price to be in the upper half of that range. For threads with mods you could check out any of the "official color" threads that were getting a lot of attention last night. a4mods.com would also be a good place to check out pics of a4's.

just went to A4mods and on the front page it talks about the most extensive b6 gallery on the web but the main pic is a b5...

major differences btwn the '02 and '05 besides mileage? I'm going to assume a few cosmetic changes but anything major?

difference betw. the '02 and '05 models are subtle, but I would recommend an '04-'05 because they come with 6spd tranny's and are known to have less mechanical issues than the '02-'03 models. All '04+ models come with painted lowers as well. I'm really not even sure if an Ultrasport was made in 02-03...?

either way for an '04-'05 USP with 50K on the clock expect to pay anywhere from $17-20K if you purchase from a private seller. Retail, expect it to be around $22-23K. Take a look at the for sale forum here, there are usually a ton of great cars for sale! good luck!

Will most likely buy from a dealer as I'd like to trade in the BMW for the Audi. Don't feel like private selling the bmw then private buying the audi even though it might be more cost effective but I'm lazy and just want to do it in 1 step!
