** SPP Dual A-Pillar Gauge Mod **

Called up SPP for the A-Pillar gauge mod that they offer .. told me he'd call me back to let me know if his buddy can make me one but wasnt sure if they still made em' anymore - never heard back from him .. anyone on here know where I could get another one ? Or maybe someone selling their own ?

Not really a fan of the vent style .. I like a clean look .. the a-pillar mod has a flush look to it and it looks stock in a way

IMO pillar gauges do not look cleaner than vent gauges, and definitely do not look stock. For a boost gauge, the cleanest and most factory looking one would be the one that's incorporated into the tachometer....I can't remember who makes it. But if you don't want to go into that much customization, I think the steering column pod is much much cleaner looking than either the vent gauges or the pillar gauges.

O.C.T. Pretty pricey, but so is the SPP. I'm trying to make my own pillar mount as we speak.

Just and FYI, digital boost gauges like the one offered from O.CT Tuning do not work if you are running a TCD... i used to run that boost gauge until I went with a TCD & MBC in standalone

Just noticed on the side bar of SPP'S A-pillar link it states that for a dual pod add $85 . just specify in the order notes. I think i'll be attempting to do this myself forget $435 for a gauge pod.

landed up selling it, was an autometer dual pod (was like $45), got it from summit racing and painted it to match since the a4 had tan interior.

Wouldn't the side curtain airbags turn this into a projectile in a crash? I thought thats why there wasn't any made. But i guess if its mounted low enough.. I don't know how it works really.

Not true. Check out SSP's web site, it shows how the air bag deploys. I'm not sure how that rumor got started. . .

Good luck with that one. I tried looking everywhere. Only thing I can think of is splitting the cost of a headliner with someone local and using that fabric to rewrap a fiberglassed homebrew gauge setup. But by the time your done with all of that, you might as well pay SPP. . .

I just placed my order today with Eric at SPP .. estimated time is about 10 days but he told me about 4 weeks because the guy who does them gets really busy at times and delays can vary .. so to be on the safe side he told me no longer then 4 weeks but should be done within the 10 days

I got the dual gauge pod mod .. a 60mm for my boost gauge and the 52mm right on top of it for my wideband

If anyone is interested call em' up and let them know .. he can start them at the same time
