Nice!, I am aiming a bit above that with mine, I just need to wait a few more weeks until school ends so that I can take down my car.

if you watch the dyno video you can see all wheels are moving, so quattro it is. That is a lot of horsepower for a quattro car with just a GT2871r. You must have a very healthy car and a great tune (or a bad tune and your running lean to make more power lol) I really dont care for dyno numbers anymore. I am really big on 1/4 mile times over dyno numbers. Did the shop have any baseline runs for you to compare to?

yes the motor I believe its pretty healthy but I believe a gt2871 turbo is able to produce alot more power if running standalone or a good tune but I could be wrong though but yes I'm not a big dyno person myself I'm more into trap speed at the track

something about those #'s dont seem right

arif is/was running the same set up. dyno'd @ around the same settings (fuel/boost) and only made 290 @ the wheels i think it was.

That is because no one has noticed that it is using a 1.05% corrected reading, which means the power the dyno added 5% to what the car actually put down at the wheels. His true whp was 310.

    Re: Dyno'd today

You guys put way too much faith in a dyno plot. The car could be +/- 25% or more from those numbers.

It is still impressive and a nice looking curve. Although it is really hard to read without the rpms. It looks like it starts at idle and runs to around 6500 and makes 200wtq at a pretty high rpm. That turbo should be hitting it at just under 4000 rpm. That really depends on timing and other tuning.

    Re: Dyno'd today

Is it a GT2871r ELIM or a REAL T25 flanged GT2871r? Very different scenarios. Considering that a GT28RS powered car can hit ~ 300awhp, a REAL 2871r (NON ELIM) should be able to do it easily.

Never seen 1 dyno operator start at idle, so it is most likely started around 2000-3000 rpms. So each line is most likely 500 rpm with the pull starting at 3k, but without a rpm reading we will never know.

    Re: Dyno'd today

I thought the same but then his spool would be pretty terrible. That would put 200wtq at 4500 rpm which is on par with a larger turbo.

    Re: Dyno'd today

Dyno could be set with a high load or they ran the car in a very high gear, that pull does seem to be pretty long for something that might be around 3500-4k rpms.

I've been waiting on this comment all day but actually the old motor timing belt tensioner failed which caused the motor to go and plus that poor lil motor was at 17x,xxx miles so it was time for the better anyway, but yes I am getting another tune and the reason I dyno'd the car is to see whats exactly going on and now I know so now its time to move on to the TAPP lol
