Reason for engine swap. I purchased this car from a 59 year old car enthusiast in Maryland. He had a 2002 S4 and he was rear ended and the car was totaled. He took the engine out and purchased a 2001.5 chassis from a Master mechanic at Criswell Audi. The chassis was in perfect shape. During the process he decided to do the Stage 3 upgrade and the timing belt as well.
THe car runs great and has been garaged kept most the time since i have owned it. There are a couple of small paint scratches on the rear bumper and there is a dent on the bottom of the Apr catback, but nothing that hinders performance at all. The only thing that the car needs is new brakes in the future and new synchros in the tranny since it sometimes has common 1st-2nd gear grind on hard shifts. With normal everyday driving you dont notice it at all.
Also out of all three of my S4's this one has the best dash cluster with only a couple lines fading.
Im asking $17,500 OBO Also if you need it shipped, i may work out a better deal with you, although i would prefer pickup. I also have the phone # of the Audi mechanic who did all the engine work. I went over everything with him before i purchased the car. He knows this car inside and out.
