Problem with digital display between Gauges

Hi guys, hope someone could help me out.

My car been sitting in the pound(long story) for close to 2 months and just got her back 3 days ago. It's a 04 2.7T s-line, with about 54K. There seem to be a few problems, the car ran really sluggish, had no power at all. Maybe oil change, or tranny fluid change or tune up could fix this? Second, the digital display between the RPM and MPH gauages aren't showing anything on the middle. The top would say " brake light", my lights been out. the bottom would display" P R N D S". When the doors are open the display shows the car. But when i'm driving it doesn't show the radio station or the yellow lights displaying a " O.K " when i start driving. it would just show a blank,.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

for the digital display in my car there is a reset buttong for the disolay on the arm for the windsheild wipers dont know if youve tried that or not

Press the button on the underside of the wiper stalk?

The LCD screens on the A6's are absolute crap.

There are many many threads of all of us complaining about it and tried getting a recall done, but to no avail. =(

so what is cure for LCD issues? -- I have a few lines of pixels out (annoying)

If you have just a few pixels out you have the joy of replacing the display. Many people "bump" the switch on the underside of the stalk and turn off the entire display.

the only real fix is replacing the whole display for 400 big ones from the dealer... expensive but if it bothers you that much and you plan on keeping the car for alot longer then do it

I know there was a guy in new england that had side business with Saab LCDs, was hoping somebody similarly did Audis (I believe it was $99 plus old display)
