airbag light

So im finally sold my 03 20th ae gti and buying a 2001 s4 6 speed this week, had the car checked out and everything came out good just needs a timing belt. My question is on the car the airbag light is on. I just called up a audi dealership in long island and talked to parts and told him that I had the car scanned and the code that came up was 01989 "Passenger side airbag resistance to high". He told me that there was something underneath the passenger seat (a yellow connector) that needed to be cut out and relayed. Is this true and did anyone ever have this problem and how did you fix it?

And instead of starting another post, I drove the s4 yesterday and the turbos sounded good quiet and could barely hear them. The car is stock except for a neuspeed catback exhaust and boost gauge, but SOMETIMES when at WOT I think I heard a little light whine by the turbos im pretty sure it wasnt the regular spool but didnt nearly sound like other s4's with whining turbos is this normal or are they on there way out soon? Really dont have the cash right now for k04's

if the airbag is plugged in on the passenger side, it is most likely the seat air bag that is bad. Did you clear the code and see if the light went away?

Mines has been doing this latly. When my girlfriend goes to drive my car and moves the seat, sometimes the light comes on. I clear the code and its good.

I did clear it and it came back on
