Stasis Streetsports

I have tried searching and not really coming up with any answers so I figured I would ask. I currently have a set of old Streetsports without height adjustment, and I want to know if I could use a different spring on them. I would like to try to maybe lower the front just a 1/2 in or so and also firm up the ride a little. Is this a possibility or a waste of time and money. I am currently being visited by the turbo lady so i'm kinda trying to gather money for that at the moment.

If your turbos are going, save your money for that. The suspension works after all.
