Looking for a repair shop in Mass

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm located in central Massachusetts and need to get the 60k service stuff done (timing belt, water pump, etc.) and have already looked around my area for someone to do it but to no avail. I tried KTR which is the local performance place and they said they don't do timing belts anymore. I was wondering if anyone in here knows of a good private place to get this done since I get awful service at the dealership and know I'll pay an arm and a leg for the job. If anyone has had any experience with a place, your input would be much appreciated. Anywhere in MA really is fine, I'm willing to drive to get good quality/service. Thanks.

Im in central MA too and the only place I can really think of off the top of my head that does stuff like that, that people like is ESP in Sterling, MA. EuroDesign in Leominster, MA also does stuff like that...

Personally, I take my car to EPL for everything that I cant to myself which is very little.

Re: Looking for a repair shop in Mass

Depending on where you are located there are a ton of good shops, ESP in Sterling MA, Tony's Imported Auto in Manchester, CT and EPL in Stratford, CT.

I've personally dealt with Tony's Imported and EPL and both I highly recommend. I've heard a lot of good things about ESP and they seem very knowledgable, so I wouldn't hesitate using them.

On the other hand I've only heard bad things about EuroDesign. And my few dealings with the owner have been less than professional, to say the least. Stay away.... far away.

I've heard some horror stories about them too. Thank god I only had them gutting my cats ( I took the DPs out myself).

I can too vouch for EPL. Tony and Dave are great guys and I would rather leave my car in their hands over ANYONE else. They do some GREAT work and have some AWESOME tunes!

Re: Looking for a repair shop in Mass

Thanks for all the help guys, all your input is greatly appreciated. All who sparked my interest I sent pm's to. I will definitely give ESP a look since they seem to be very highly qualified. On another note, has anyone ever used KTR in ayer? I live in the town next door and am just curious. I know they do performance modding for audi, porsche, bentley, etc. and I think they are the only GIAC dealer backed by GIAC in Mass (I read that on their site a while ago, correct me if I'm wrong). Just curious, and thanks for all the help.

Re: Looking for a repair shop in Mass

i believe KTR doesnt do GIAC anymore (or maybe that was SRS)...what i've heard anyway. plus the KTR performance shut down and they merged with KTR european motorsports or something, shady things happening with them lately. I wouldve recommended them back in the day,but all the guys that did good work left i think. (just relaying what ive heard)

and p.s.- www.enhancedstreetperformance.com is ESP which is 3 seconds from my house that is highly recommended

I want a single 3.5", I think the dual 2.5" will be hanging pretty low.

i had lou's in waltham do mine as well a while ago. they did a great job, and parts/labor was only $400. only downside was that they dont mandrel bend their pipes so you loose flow in the bends. i have since changed that to improve flow.

Re: Looking for a repair shop in Mass

Over the years I have tried numerous shops BAG used to have a list of most MA/NH shops with feedback. Although there are many decent shops I can recommend from first hand experience, my shop of record is http://www.eastcoasteuropean.com/ Superior quality, profound technical knowledge, great costumer service, fast turnaround and competitive rates – what else can you ask for? Timing belt is too important and I have seen reputable shops make mistakes during its install. A small fuckup can cost you big $$$$. If you call them tell Mark that Steve sent you. The guy whose car has been rusting on their parking lot.

I cant speak for the whole team but the twin turbo stang put down 498 (just missing 500 hp on stock fueling, as far as i know that one of th best WHP done on stock fueling (leaned it way out never blew). Also made well over 50 pass on the track with his race setup on a stock 5.0 trany @ 700+ whp.

Like i said I can't speak for the whole team but mike is no moron, he builds his own shit and tunes from scratch. I know you can't say the same.

O PS if your going for a crazy fast stage 2+ im stage 2, put your money up and PM me we can make a run.
