    Anyone modded their non-sline bumper?

    Hello!
My first post on this nice forum. I live in Sweden and drive a 2.0TQ Avant.
I wonder if anyone modded their non-sline bumper and fitted a sline/rs4 grille?
I think i saw someone that did that and wonder how they did it?

Re: Anyone modded their non-sline bumper?

I'll probably be the only amicable and nice response to this post (needs to change, by the way!!! This isn't a BMW forum, is it?!), but you may want to do some browsing of forum topics using the "Search" tool. Use some key words from your above post to hunt around over a day or two. If you still can't find your answer, post that you couldn't and it will promote better responses. Luckily, I have some real input as well.

I have a non S-line A4 sedan, and am going to be adding a Votex front splitter here when it gets back to me; one side of it showed up cracked, so I'm waiting on a replacement, and of course mine had to be the last one in the friggen States (= extra long wait!). This is a nice subtle addition to the stock lines of a non s-line bumper, and is a very easy and non-invasive install. You can look up the Votex, or also see the Rieger front bumper lip, which I think looks very similar.

I actually, in looking at both, wish I would have gone w/ the Rieger, but it's too late now and the Votex is still nice. To me, the main difference seems to be that the Rieger is one piece that spans the entire bumper width, whereas the Votex is two separate pieces (one for each side under the fog housings to add a more aggressive look).

For now, expect about 5 disgruntled forum junkies to rape you for posting a question you can probably answer for yourself w/ a little elbow grease. Be prepared!

Did i spell something wrong? BMW-forum??? come on, im swedish.....

Yes i have searched a lot and didnt find anything.
I dont want to change the whole bumper to an s-line or add some skirts, i want to cut out the lower part in the middle so that i can fit an rs4-grill.

    Anyone done this?

apparently someone didn't read properly before they posted..

anyways, I did mod my bumper to fit the RS4 Grille on a non-sline bumper..it's not something a bodyshop can't easily handle...though 1 thing I can't stand is, after all this work, your bumper loses factory paint, which I personally thinks is 1000times stronger then aftermarket paint, your bumper gets devastated from rockchips...
    Cheers!

Ah my mistake, thought you were wondering what a good front bumper addition was.

Haha, you didnt spell anything wrong, Superjet. I was more commenting on the fact when someone asks a question like you did, people on this forum will rip them a new poop hole if the topic has been covered before. My mentioning BMW was to suggest those jerks to get a new car that fits them better .

Re: Anyone modded their non-sline bumper?

why would you want to mod the bumper to make it fit and probably screw it up and then need to buy a new bumper where you could just mod the grill and if you mess up then you are still only out $100ish. what else do you want to do to the bumper?

I'm confused on what you want.

Hmm, just thought that bigger is nicer but maybe thats just to overdo it, should perhaps go with just mod the grille.

Re: Anyone modded their non-sline bumper?

I had a bodyshop do it, it took quite a a bit of work, in fact, i left my car @ the shop and let them do it while I was ou to the country....had they had the S6 fogs at the time I would have done it too....
    Cheers!
