O2 Sensor out -advice please

I've had cars with O2 sensors out before but I usually get them replaced pretty quick. The thing with my Audi is that here in Germany my warranty is only good for 2 years, which I hit about 1 1/2 weeks ago. So now a new O2 sensor will cost me about 200 Euro. In the states I guess I get 4 yr/50000 mi warranty. I'll be probably shipping the car next month or late this month back to the U.S. Now on to the question:

Will I damage anything by running on a bad O2 sensor until I pick up my car in the states? Again, I'll probably be driving the car around for roughly another month so what kind of problems am I looking at, if any, besides worse fuel mileage and reduction in power?

You will not damage anything. All that will happen is you'll get worse fuel economy than you should, because you'll be in open loop and won't have the fine tuning o2's give.
