Down Pipe

I have an 03 Audi A4 3.0 and im gonna buy a Borla exhaust or a neuspeed exhaust...i cant find a downpipe for it can anyone here help me out?

I dont why but almost everyone in B6 s4/rs4 forums call headers a downpipe... Are those the same??? Cause i've always thought they are not.
OP i think you gotta look for headers.

yea bro, you want headers, a downpipe is what us turbo guys call the outlet from the turbo. try searching for headers and you might find something, i dunno what there is out there for the 2.8 or 3.0, never really looked

there are a few Euro companies that call them downpipes for the NA cars as well....doesn't make sense to me, but they do.

3.0King is making the cat-less downpipes for the 3.0, you just have to wait for it to come out again/
headers, 2.8 supersprint headers are direct bolt on for $1300not including labor.

Factory-turbo cars (and factory naturally aspirated cars in general) have EXHAUST MANIFOLDS!

The exhaust manifold is cast and very short and usually not optimal for performance. Our cars have exhaust manifolds.

What you are looking for is the pipe that runs AFTER the turbo and bolts up to the rest of the exhaust correct? That would be the downpipe....

the guys before said there is no downpipe in a 3.0 only in turbo cars .... Then they said I need headers... Now I'm being told exhaust manifold... Which one is it ...

I said everything clearly. you can get cat-less down pipes and headers as long as you are willing to pay $$$.

Actually downpipes on turbo cars are usually called "test pipes" on NA cars they are called downpipes in most cases, you can also get headers too, that's right before the downpipes... you can get supersprint headers, and supersprint down pipes... it's money but it's well worth it. i love the sound that combo makes.

I haven't found any aftermarket downpipes. 3.0 King will have some cat-less downpipes soon as was already mentioned and are probably the only source.

actually, its the opposite..everyone on clubrsx calls them test pipes (N/A)

Stock:
exhaust manifold -> downpipe -> cat -> rest of exhaust

Headers can replace the exhaust manifold. Hawse pipes will replace the downpipe and cat.
