    Hey guys,

Do any of you know if I can use an Ipod connector (through the cd changer input) and an XM radio receiver?

    Re: Ipod and XM radio?

I'm running the Neo Prolink on my car. I have the Symphony II radio with BOSE and factory installed XM. This is for my iPhone and it also retains the factory steering wheel controls too.

    Great piece of hardware.

Here's where I got mine from:

Here's the manufacturer's product description page:

Daft i have a 2004 S-Line, and i see you have a 2004 also, where do you connect that to?

Nevermind! i just looked at the site, so it goes behind the factory radio, and you run the cable out, do you like it?

    I don't like it..................

    I LOVE IT!!! hehe

No, seriously, it is a great device. I will admit that getting the radio out of it's hole is a tad tricky, but otherwise it was all cake. I did take the time to drill a hole in the glovebox's back corner to run the cables into there. This allowed me to mount the prolink's brain in the glove box in-case I wanted to attach an AUX-in type device. Also it make it easy to access it if I wanted to change the dip switches on it.

I ended up running the interface cable to the opening behind the e-brake and my iPhone sits on that surface while driving (it's top edge buts up against the side mirror control knob). The only issue I've had is that if I leave the iPhone's antenna enabled, it will occasionally cause the music to stop and I have to tap the play icon on it again. On a regular iPod, this would not occur.

    Re: Ipod and XM radio?

Does the Symphony-Bose system show the ipod info on the in-dash display when you use neo prolink? If not, I gues it helps to have ipod where you can see to scroll play lists, etc. I have Symphony (as opposed to II) and understand the set-up is basically the same. Also, "DICE" has similar config. available -- not sure how they compare. Hoping to hear some pros/cons. Definitely want to keep radio and steering wheel cont'ls (both do that).

    Re: Ipod and XM radio?

I doubt it: b/c if the Neo uses the CD Changer connection at the back of the head unit, then the answer is no. It is not the adapter kit's fault - Symphony doesn't have any text capability thru that input.

It has been mentioned on an older thread that Dice was working on an adapter that worked thru the Sat Radio input, and thus gaining text/id3 capability. Don't think that ever happened tho

    Re: Ipod and XM radio?

DICE told me they require unit with SAT for text display
