put the car on the dyno

We dynoed my car at auto speed the other day and with just putting on the turbo and and running 630cc injectors the car made 269AWHP and 278 Trq. Keep in mind this was only @15.4 PSI and no tunning at all. This was also on a Mustang Dyno. mark and i have spoke and we estimate the car to Make 400AWHP on pump gas @ 25 psi and on race gas we expect the car to make around 440 AWHP. will let you guys know what the end result is.

the setup is 1.8 stroked to a 2.0 with forged internals and a AEB head and a 57 trim with a stage five compresser wheel.

we did make sure that the car was not going to blow up and we are running it a little rich so that nothing happens. we also checked for knock and other things such as timming and everything looked fine. i will be getting it tuned very shortly.

Sorry but I dont believe anything unless I see it on paper, those numbers seem a bit unrealistic for the boost IMO

the trq seems high but the hp seems about right.

my 1.8l small port car w/ a 57 trim made 268awhp @ ~17-18psi on a garbage tune. i can see the same # @ a lower boost but better tune. my trq was only 248 though. the 268/248 was w/ a stock exhaust system as well.

and the 30r w/ aeb head/mani made 265awhp @ 16psi. one of the first sets of custom tunes that have been done on the car. this was done w/ 2.5" exhaust

Still left in it? Adding 10psi is not going to gain 131 awhp and seeing that the ECU already sets a AFR target it isn't like the tune was bad, so some tuning will really just effect bottom end power not the peak hp.

Yes, but I'm probably close to 300awhp right now with a partial tune on a tired 1.8. I'm not saying I'll be anywhere near 400 with the 2.0. I'm just saying I'll be in the mid 300s with the 28rs and I am happy with that.

My 57 trim even out flows a GT30 but it flows just a little less than a GT35 do to the agressive wheel i have on it.

57 trim max flow = 50 lb/min
GT30r = around 51-53 lb/min
GT35r = 65 lb/min


So now again how does your 57 trim flow slightly less then a GT35r which as we know is producing around 600whp on my A4.

Yes but that is needed just to flow that max 50 lb/min.


Here is what another shop/site has to say about the 57 trim.

57 Trim: The 57 trim is not a turbo we really recommend. Its basically a less efficient 50 trim. If you want something that spools faster than a 60, then get a 50 trim. If you want a bit more power, get a 60 trim. If you think you need a 57 trim because some other guy told you it was the best wheel out there, you can convince us to sell you one. (It would be the same price as the base kit.)

my turbo can flow voloumes of air that are more constante than a GT30 that will spike at the same boost levels.

example
my turbo with my turbine will flow 35psi and hold where as a GT30 will hit 30psi and than fall.

And for as far as what that shop has to say good for them. i still like the turbo.

And From experiance i had a 60 trim IS300 which was not nearly as powerfull as this turbo so the wheel most do more than you guys think.

I said the retune will give him more bottom end, the adding boost will increase peak hp but it will be closer to 80-90 whp not 131.
