hey guys, im doing my control arms right now and things were going fine...until i got to the bottom arms. how the hell do you get the bolt out that attaches the arm to the sub frame? its an 18mm nut/bolt, and the bolt goes right through the the sub frame. there is no room to work with...do i need 2 18mm wrenches to get these lower arms off?

I think if you wiggle and angle enough you can get it out. We had this problem on my friend's car but I forget exactly how we did it. A quicker root I would think would be to drop the subframe a bit.

I definitely needed two 18mm wrenches for mine. It should wriggle out with enough effort, possibly by jacking up the hub (or lowering it as the case may be) a bit. Turning the wheel left or right might help too. Worst case you can lower the subframe which is a bolt located nearby on the chassis that gives you a bit more wiggle room.

its not the bolt side that we had trouble with, its the nut...its inside the subframe

they werent worn, so i just left them, we replaced the uppers and the C arm at the bottom so at least the problem parts are replaced.
