    help needed

I just had 18" wheels put on my car.

That's the drop. Tires are 235/40/18. I have KW v1 coilovers. The front camber on the left, is out of wack. And apparently nothing can be done about that. The right is fine...and the rear left camber is out of wack but is going to be set once the bolt is ordered, being as its frozen.

My problem: when I come over dips in the road / highway at speed. I'm rubbing upfront. I guess the tire to the innerfender, or the edge of the fender because you can hear it very clearly. What should I do so this doesn't happen?

I don't see why this is giving me a problem. I know others with 19"s and lowered that have no problems whyyyyy me!!!

    Re: help needed

    up. the numbers.

left front camber. -1.5 degree. specified for s4 -1.3 degree.

should I be worred about that, the place that did my alignment said the car will pull that way. which I hate, but without being adjustable upfront...what can I do ?

left rear camber -1.8 degree... that is adjustable but the bolt is seized, should I get a new bolt and have it fixed asap ?

    Any help appreciated. Please!

According to carfax and all that, no accidents ever.

The control arm and tie rod condition, I can't say. would that be an issue?

    Re: help needed

Offset would be good to know. Tire size is fine so unless the car has been dropped more than the picture than the ET may be too high

    Re: help needed

I can't remember for shit. It was 32 or 35. I will take the wheel off and check tonight for sure.

FYI only the left front tire is rubbing when I take hard bumps. Would that have to do with the camber.

Yes. Is that degree that bad... I should go ahead and order the bolt from the dealer and have it fixed and realigned?

    Re: help needed

your left side really is outa wack. i wonder if something is bent in there somewhere. I would get the rear fixed so you can dial some of the camber out on the left side rear which will help wire tire wear and make the handling more predictable. your toe is resonable, it is a tad high for me, but thats just personal preference.

is your left front corner lower than the right front corner? are all the tie rods and upper/lower control arms in good condition? is the front left shock and spring in good condition? i just want to make sure the damper isn't blown (seen a couple) or the spring didn't develop early sag (uncommon)

As for rubbing on the front. I really think something is worn, bent, broken or misinstalled in the left front. Or that the offset on that front left wheel is different. I am about the same ride height and run a wider tire than you and get '0' rubbing anywhere.

I have coilovers. Brand new pretty much...ummm as far as the control arms and tie rods, I haven't looked. I figured they should be able to get this car aligned, since its their job. I guess I will have to take it to a shop and have the front left taken apart and checked out

It is hard to tell without seeing the car if everything is ok. I would call Tyrol Sport and ask them if you can come by and have then check out your suspension as you think something might be f'd up and can't determine what is wrong. These guys are pretty straight up and if they can't help you they will tell you. they are vw/audi guys and 'should' be able to help. it is worth a phone call at the bare minimum.

It's so far outa wack compared to the right side that i would not feel comfortable driving on it like that. i know tyrol sport isn't super close to where you are, but they are very good to deal with and will be honest. which in my book is worth the drive.

I will check into it. Should I be getting another bolt from the dealer, if / when I go to get the camer in the rear fixed, incase it snaps.
