    Clutch question, of today.

    Wassup guys.

Okay, I made an earlier post about my clutch b4. Basically i lost pressure, so i replaced the clutch master and slaver cylinders. Now that there replaced, I have pressure but after i start my car i cant put it into gear.

So, My clutch is probably gone too. Which would mean the previous owner sucked at driving stick.

Anyway, So i called penski audi dealership and I gave them all the information. b6 1.8t quattro 2003.

But they still needed my vin number cuz there were two different clutches listed. One for 500ish other for 700ishh.

If i buy an oem clutch kit from ECStuning, how do they know it will fit my stuff (Especially since the dealer couldnt know without the vin?)???

Also, the Sach's $310 ECS OEM kit vs the southbend SS OFE for $600?
I've searched and people are saying there ofe's are lasting less than 20k? thats worse than oem

Do not buy anything from dealer unless you're under warranty. Also don't let them install anything. Find a shop, even if it's not too close.

    ^^

Yea, I just called teh dealer for a price check and to see if theres only one part replacement. But obviously, theres two and can only be broken down to one via VIN number. Which is weird...

Also, I got a local dood to take care of my car. So thats chill.

    Ty though.

But will the Sach's from ECS tuning fit? I'm worried that it won't because of the dealer saying theres two? ECS doesn't know my vin so how would they be able to know what i neeD?

    Re: Clutch question, of today.

I just bought a sachs today bro... umm, from what i have read its only a difference in Engine codes, and yes that can be found out by VIN... but also my car is 2002, and in that year only one engine code was made. i think 04 is the year that has two. Good luck bro, hope its all not too much trouble.

Oh yea, my clutch was slipping before and i knew it was just a matter of time until it went completely. when it happened it lost almost all of the pressure, it wouldnt switch gears or anything. i dont think you needed your slave replaced.

how did you resurface your flywheel?

I really don't want to wait like 2-3weeks for southbend to resurface mine. Can I just get it done at a clutch replacement place?
