    Re: condensation in headlight

Remove one of the covers and drive without it for a few days. Sometimes this helps already.

-> The cover on the inner side of the housing is easier to access.

I seemed to have a little last month too but it hasn't shown up since. Thankfully in California this is hardly ever a problem. It was the drivers side as well.

    Re: condensation in headlight

Try removing one of the covers as mentioned to let the mixing ratio of the air even out, them make sure all of the light covers are secured perfect. You have a leak somewhere, and if you didn't take your headlights apart recently then it has to be a bulb cover on the back.

    Re: condensation in headlight

My friend used to have a Mk3 Jetta that somehow has a big crack/hole in part of the taillight, so the bottom chamber would fill up with a good inch of water that would visibly slosh around when he would turn. I told him he should put a goldfish in his taillight to entertain drivers behind him haha

    Re: condensation in headlight

    ^^ agreed.

back to the subject: Jens is correct, you can also try to use a blow dryer to get rid of the condensation, but I would suggest locating the source of the problem.

did you CC recently? changed a bulb? Recheck, if you have xenon, it could damage something.

its from probably leakage and did you black house or do clear corners? that could be the problem if you did

    Re: condensation in headlight

if you bought it used then it might have been in an accident... look for a leak somewhere... if you can find a cheap replacement i'd just get a new headlight installed if it bugs you enough. If not... look for the leak... dry it out... and seal the hole.
