What do I need to replace here?

It was quite fortunate actually... As I pulled in my driveway, my driver's side xenon takes a shit on me. earlier tonight, I noticed that it had turned a purple/pink. Then as I pull in for the night, goodbye.
sooo... what is it exactly i need to replace? ignitors? ballast? the bulb?
I think from lurking on here long enough it's the bulb, but i know someone has had this happen, and can you point me in hte right direction? (step up from OEM. I was thinking 55W 6000)

Try switching the bulbs, if the driver's side is still not working properly then it's the ignitor/ballast.

I'm thinking it's the bulb, I noticed my stock bulbs were going purple/pink on me. I looked at them and saw that a spherical part inside the bulb had "frosted" over, and the one that had turned more was more frosted. If you were to go 55w, you'd need a new ballast, and with that, some custom mounting I've heard. I'd just look for some 5 or 6000k bulbs from a reputable source (I'm sure someone will link you to a trusted site) and call it good.

ok.. i'll switch em out today. but i was pretty sure it's the headlight. so, im leaning for a 4500k or 6000k made by ziza on ECStuning. hows that sound?

I was actually going to ask if I needed to replace anything on my lights. Far as I know they are stock an older guy had the car before me so there was hardly anything done to it. But I've been noticing a color difference in my lights over the past few months. At first sight they look great but once they are on for a bit they have a greenish yellow tint to them. Are my projectors burnt up I heard that happens sometimes?

i've heard that the lens itself can get quite nasty on the inside due to heat or something from the bulb. and that you can wipe it out with some shit. I'm ordering the 6000k overnighting (no shipping sunday, so i'll be legal to drive nights by tuesday night for sure lol.
any tips on replacement? i checked Audidiy.com but they didnt have how to simply replace the bulbs. i did headlights a couple times on my old Maxima, and it was fucking simple, so...

Our cars are the same way. Simple. Pop the hood, pop off the black cover with the yellow electric triangle on it, and pull out the bulb. Unless you have bigfoot hands, it should take like 3 mins.

As a general rule, if the bulbs are changing color, the bulb is dying.

If the lights are flickering or getting dimmer, it's the ballast.

i did this and learned the hard way, BTW i had the ECS ZIZA 6000K bulbs, they are awesome. But pull the plug out of the xenon bulb, THEN undo the clip. THEN when you reinstall put the bulb in its place, then make the clip go, so the bulb should be in there just as it should THEN replug, i tried replugging then getting the clip over that i must of said fcuk over 1million times. =]
